Answer visibility
Be the answer, not just a resultAnswer-ready content structure
More questions now end in an answer than in a list of links. Assistants and AI overviews summarise a handful of sources and cite them — and if your site is not written and structured to be quoted, you are invisible to that audience no matter where you rank.
What you get
Everything aeo & geo covers.
Signs it is time
You are probably here because…
- Assistants answer questions about your category and cite someone else
- Your site ranks, but the answer box above it belongs to a competitor
- The business is described inconsistently across the sources AI systems read
- Content is written to fill a word count rather than to answer a question
- Nobody is monitoring how AI tools describe you

Questions
Frequently asked.
- What is the difference between SEO, AEO and GEO?
- SEO works to rank a page in a list of results. AEO — answer engine optimisation — works to have your content used as the direct answer, in a featured snippet or an assistant’s reply. GEO, generative engine optimisation, is about being cited in the summaries produced by AI systems. They overlap heavily, but the second two reward clear structure and quotable phrasing rather than page position alone.
- Does this replace SEO?
- No. Almost everything that makes a site quotable also makes it rankable — clean structure, real expertise, accurate markup. AEO and GEO build on SEO rather than replacing it, and a site with weak technical foundations will struggle at both.
- Can you guarantee our brand will be cited by AI tools?
- No, and neither can anyone else — these systems do not publish their selection rules and their answers change between models and versions. What can be done is to remove the reasons you would be excluded: unclear structure, missing markup, inconsistent information about the business, and content that never directly answers the question.
